If you choose to work with Damar our first job is to understand your business objectives, whether it's enrolling one existing member of staff or recruiting and training a large group of apprentices nationally. In addition to training ad assessment, our service includes:
- Support with designing and planning your apprenticeship programme.
- Advertising your apprenticeship vacancies, assessing and shortlisting suitable candidates.
- Training for supervisors and managers.
- Support with PR and marketing of your programme, internally and externally.
Once enrolled, apprentices have a Damar tutor who helps you plan and manage the programme and makes regular visits to assess performance and review progress. This 1:1 support is supplemented by on-line and paper-based study materials and practice tests. We also have a team of subject specialist teachers who deliver webinars and e-tutorials for the more technically complex units.
We keep you up to date with progress throughout and carry out regular reviews to ensure your apprentice is on track and that the business objectives identified at the start are being met. You will be able to log in at all times to your apprentice’s online portfolio so you can see how they are doing.
Enrolment is on a rolling basis throughout the year - we fit around the needs of your business. Although your apprentice will need time to study and for exams (20% of the apprentice’s time will be spent in off-the-job training), day release from work is not required in most cases.
